Dunno. I was in the hospital for something like a week. The big thing I remember is that they wanted to poke me with needles. I was on an IV for a few days and I really did not like the idea. I have no clue if I was able to eat or not, that would have been so incredibly less important to me at the time...

I remember being convinced that my parents would think that I faked up the spots on my legs with paint to avoid school for a few days.

Everything that I've read about HSP seems to say (granted I'm not a doctor, and I may be missing doctor-speak clues in the texts) that they're not really sure what causes it, it generally goes away on it's own, and the big thing is to make sure that renal failure is caught at the "impending" stage.

Admittedly, that doesn't jibe with either of our "extended stay in the hospital" treatments...
