I had to laugh when I read your description of how to wear a sari, especially as I've never worn one that way, but I can see how it would be much much more easy to dance in than the way I wear them (a more traditional older-person style, I guess) with a under-skirt and sort of halter top. Can you please post the link to the webpage you mention? I'd love to try wearing one of my saris that way! I don't think I'd ever realized that that the pantaloon-type costumes I've seen Indian dancers wear are simply saris worn a different way.
