Baa, Baa, Baa

I really should write something meaningful and full of content here, all witty and informative about how life is going in West Virginia and all the truly bizarre cases I'm seeing here.

But I'm tired and achy and fighting a cough, and just a bit lonely and missing my friends. So instead I'm going to jump onto a great big meme-bandwagon, in the hopes of metaphorically warming myself up with happy memories. So.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please (if you want) post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

Meme stolen from everyone, text stolen from someone who stole it from [livejournal.com profile] cadhla. Participation not mandatory, and all that....

The most vivid, emotion-laden memory I have of you is you and [livejournal.com profile] umbran dancing on your wedding day. It acts as kind of a joyous watermark on nearly all my other recollections of you - not obscuring anything, but faintly present, as a reminder of sorts.

However, that's not exactly a memory of you + me, so a few of those:
* First meeting you at an SCA meeting;
* You screaming at John V. outside Hillside your freshman year;
* You explaining to me what 'LARPing' was, and showing me pictures (in Houston, I think?)
* Sitting on your bed in your room in Wren, talking about books;
* Dancing with you, shortly after we'd both done the Intro to Movement class;
* You piecing together bits of chopped-up document during a Retribution session (everyone else was, too, but you were one of the most intrigued/animated about it);
* Grabbing your wrist as you gesticulated vehemently, and injecting an antifungal agent before you could react;
* At an Intercon not too long after you and [livejournal.com profile] umbran started dating, talking you out of (or at least blunting) a really terrible mood;
* You being righteously pissed with me after I made you a somewhat...vicious?... dare;
* Two words: Nicolas D'Armond
* You cleaning up and looking over a stray cat that had been stuck to the telephone pole outside;
* Coming over to visit you last year, walking past umpteen gazillion tomatoes, and standing in the familiar-yet-no-longer-familiar kitchen talking with you as you did wonderful things with food;
* You smiling. On innumerable occasions.
