Baa, Baa, Baa
I really should write something meaningful and full of content here, all witty and informative about how life is going in West Virginia and all the truly bizarre cases I'm seeing here.
But I'm tired and achy and fighting a cough, and just a bit lonely and missing my friends. So instead I'm going to jump onto a great big meme-bandwagon, in the hopes of metaphorically warming myself up with happy memories. So.
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please (if you want) post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way.
When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.
Meme stolen from everyone, text stolen from someone who stole it from
cadhla. Participation not mandatory, and all that....

The first thing to mind...
the scuffing of shoes-
"Should my hair be in tresses?"
"What tie do I choose?"-
As the hall fills with dancers,
and the strings start to sound-
We will take that first step,
and we won't touch the ground...
Re: The first thing to mind...
For me, remembering you, the first thing to mind is almost always an image of walking home from The Aces, with you walking me to the porch and saying good night in the way you always did.
Even before I knew that I loved you, I knew that that made me feel safer and more cherished than anything else - as long as you were there behind me, nothing truly bad could happen....
