Choices, choices

Hmm.....

Should I be a responsible daughter-type and go home to NJ to visit my mom for Christmas? Understanding that, on the one hand, my sister is out of the country and that if I don't she'll be childless for the first time on the holiday, but that on the other hand, I just saw her for Thanksgiving and that she has significant numbers of friends to celebrate with on her own.

Or should my sweetie and I take advantage of the fact that we've both got a week off and a smallish-but-decent chunk of disposable income, and run away on our own together for an Exciting Vacation Adventure?

And if the latter, where should we go?

(I think I hear Disney World calling my name. Heck, maybe we can take my mom with us, and get both the vacation and the brownie points.....)

Adventure! Possibly to the House of Mouse on the West Coast? Las Vegas? (No, wait. That's my taste, not yours.) The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota?

Absolutely adventure.

Also, mind shooting me your work itinerary for the next week or so? The pup's ear is bugging her again, and last night when I cleaned it out, there was fresh blood. :( I might have cleaned too hard, I dunno; there was a lot of gunk in there. I figure another course of the stuff you prescribed last time might help, but I also figure you know better than I do. *heh* Thanks.

Go to Disney World and invite your mom. If she doesn't want to go, then that'll at least be her decision, so she doesn't feel abandoned. :)

Got to say I agree

Just did a disneyworld thing, including the Discovery Cove swim with happy dolphins (a day resort spinoff thing from Sea World) -- It was a blast and I kept grinning through out Epcot. it helped we were at the Beach Club inthe EPCOT resort complex and then x5xx rooms are about 100 feet from the park.

Go on the Exciting Adventure. I recommend somewhere warm. The House of the Mouse is always nice if you like that sort of thing. There are also other options along the Gulf Coast, from Key West to South Padre Island.

personally i'd go to disney world. mind, this is flavored by the fact that i haven't been to epcot in three years, and even when the food and wine festival isn't happening i think it's fabulous.

I'd go on vacation. You can always go visit your mother on a weekend another time.

Keep in mind that Christmas is a busy season for Disney. Lots of families spend their holidays there. The slow season for Disney is, well, next week.
