Things That Should Exist

After spending far too many nights kissing my husband goodnight and realizing that my blueberry-flavored lip balm and his peppermint chapstick are just two great tastes that do not belong anywhere near each other, I have come to the realization that there is a niche that is screaming to be marketed to there -

The world needs Couples' Lip Balm packages. Because, well, unflavored chapstick is a lot like rubbing a candle on your mouth, which is just icky. But buying flavored stuff leads to problems like ours. And yeah, you could just both buy the same flavor, but it would be a heck of a lot more fun to, say, get chocolate and peanut butter. Or strawberry and vanilla. Or honey and almond. Or... a whole bunch of things. Yummy lip balm, yummier kisses, everybody wins.

It seems like a good idea to me, at least....

I like that idea.

The possibilities are endless. Lemon and lime. Cinnamon and orange. Root beer and vanilla. Chocolate and cookie dough. Mint and coffee. Run with it!

This thread is now for suggesting awesome combinations for Lady Sprite's Couples-Themed Scented Lip Balms (tm).

Last thing, though - please don't let it get near those trolls that came up with the atrocious Bertie Bott's jelly beans. They'd try and sell you the fact that dirt and grass together would be hilarious.

Dark chocolate and black cherry would be a nice combination.

Bwa ha ha ha ha!

Now you have to figure out how to sell the idea - quickly, because once an idea strikes someone, it will strike more - without allowing them simply to steal it.

What's your favorite chapstick company? Start with them.

Small business loan!!

And since I'm suggesting "White Chocolate" and "Almond Praline",
I definitely am now a consultant to your firm....

I would buy these!

Careful, there's a slippery slope there. Next thing you know, all the threesome activists are going on the talk shows complaining that you're discriminating in favor of binary couples and Denying The Validity Of Their Lifestyle Choices, and the ACLU is suing you, and your research chemists are going insane trying to figure out how to ensure that any three flavors will work together - or four - or five - there's no end to it once the lobbyists get involved...

Chocolate and orange.
Chocolate and mint.
Cookies and cream.
Tuna and mayonnaise.

Good idea!

Yep, that would definitely sell. Maybe not in 7-11, but lots of websites from Think Geek to Archie McPhee would probably stock it...

Sounds like a good idea to me!
