The real problem is that what I want is... honestly, just about anything. Historical versus beautiful? Either, or neither. Critters? Sure, if they're there, but I'll have fun without. Language isn't a barrier. Families versus young couples? Doesn't really matter.

As for what I want... I don't know. I'm pretty sure I'd have equal amounts of fun hiking through caves, poking through museums, sitting on a beach, or riding a rollercoaster. Option paralysis is the real problem here - I like a lot of stuff, and I know very little about what places exist. Between that and the fact that I like hearing about my friends' fun vacations, I figured this was just a chance to collect interesting anecdotal information....
