I have found that Montreal is the closest and cheapest trip that actually feels like going somewhere else. Like much travel, it is a fine food experience.

It is less a sports/spa vacation and more a museum and sights spot, or at least, that is my experience of the city.

However, if the budget is tight, it is a good choice.
