Hmm. I wondered why all the ATMs around here had been converted to those card readers like on gas pumps where you're not even allowed to leave your card in it. The arguments banks used to make against doing that was that the machine couldn't confiscate cards on suspicion of fraud if they were set up that way. Which, since that practice was pompous and ineffectual anyway, was never a terribly convincing argument.
