"H" offers a wide range of choices! First up, as [livejournal.com profile] jadasc said, Hungry Mother (http://www.hungrymothercambridge.com/) is excellent. If you go for an early dinner, you can get tickets to a movie at the Kendall Theater for $7, and the restaurant will pick them up for you.

For new American bistro dining, Hammersley's Bistro (http://www.hamersleysbistro.com/home/) in the South End is excellent. They have valet parking, too.

Henrietta's Table (http://www.henriettastable.com/) in Harvard Square has creative, but not absurdly creative, dishes made with fresh, locally sourced foods.

Then there are a couple of places I've never tried, but which offer opportunities for unusual dining experiences.

If you're interested in trying fried chicken with waffles, The Hen House (http://www.thehenhouseboston.com/) is the place to go.

Hampshire House (http://www.hampshirehouse.com/) is an events venue in Boston that also offers open-to-the-public special events (http://www.hampshirehouse.com/special-events/index.php) such as dining in the dark, dining and dancing, and jazz brunches.

Edited to fix dumb html error. Twice. I should get some sleep!
