Your physical therapist is an idiot - basically they are telling you not to work, and not listening to the work description you do give. I'd try a massage therapist with the acupuncture, that seems to work best with my neck/shoulder issues (which I'm pretty sure are due to all the driving I do, not my job - just a thought).
