Wasted time

I was supposed to spend this weekend visiting my mom and my little sister - I had four days off in a row, a nearly-unheard-of thing at my job, and I haven't seen them in months. We were going to share presents, and I would get to hear my little sister play her new guitar, and my mom would help me learn how to sew my own scrubs, and it would just be fun.

Instead, I've spent it in bed. Not by choice, either.

I finally got sick and tired of being... well, sick and tired, and Thursday morning persuaded my sweetie to cart me off to the ER, where I was diagnosed with bronchitis and maybe mild pneumonia. I've been started on elephant-doses of antibiotics and cough syrup, and I'm slowly starting to feel better, but I'm also going stir-crazy - I haven't had the energy to do much more than curl up on the sofa, suck down soup, and be read to. But with luck, I should be closer to something resembling good health by New Year's Eve.

Right now, I'm listening to the radio's weekly Broadway show, and I've come to a stunning, startling realization. I know why paganism isn't as accepted and recognized in America today - it doesn't have a trendy pop-culture musical to back it! Christianity has 'Jesus Christ, Superstar' and 'Godspell,' Judaism has 'Fiddler on the Roof' and 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.' All paganism needs is an energetic, exciting musical with a variety of heart-rending and catchy tunes, and we'll be set!

Hmmm..... any ideas?
