I survived. It's now officially my vacation. Mine, mine, all mine, and you can't have it.

I am going to spend it slacking off, reading, going to matinees, eating out, sleeping, and playing in a rather odd but hopefully entertaining larp. No work, no being industrious, no reading journal articles to prepare for going back to the office. No spring cleaning or organizing or dusting or dropping by the office to see if I can help.

I can already feel the Responsibility Monsters in the back of my mind, whispering to me that I should save money and eat leftovers, stay home and clean the house instead of gallivanting off to game, read textbooks instead of novels, and maybe go back to work a few days early to see if they need my help.

This is my stompy bootheel, grinding down repeatedly on the Responsibility Monster's head, with a delicious squishy-crunch, until goo comes out his ears and he lies there with his tongue out making little whimpery noises and Never Bothers Me Again.

Hmph.
