On A Completely Different Note....

For those of you in the Boston area interested in Live Action Roleplaying, there are some excellent games coming up soon - Arisia (for the three or four of you who may not already be familiar with it) is a great big fun multi-genre convention taking place here, January 21-23rd at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. There will be 3 live action games running at the con, as well as a demo session by NERO.

If you're an experienced gamer, we'd love to have you; if you're new, this is an excellent chance to start.

City Council of Hound's Teeth
Friday Night, 9pm-midnight
Theatre-style horde game

The Hound's Teeth City Council is meeting tonight, and the whole town is there. Between zombies in the fields, adventurers who want their law-breaking party-member returned, a loose mage's apprentice playing pranks, everyone has a complaint. A horde LARP based on every table-top fantasy city council meeting.

Long Ago and Far Away
Saturday 11am-3pm
Theatre-style game

Did you feel like wolves and dragons always got a bad rap? Think the
princesses were too prissy? Wanna see those evil viscounts and
stepmothers get what's coming to them? Or maybe come out on top for a
change? Join us for Long Ago and Far Away, a short LARP based in a world
of fractured and intersecting fairy tales, where magic is real, the
animals talk, and "happily ever after" isn't guaranteed.

Cold Storage
Saturday 3pm-6pm
Theatre-style game

Passengers travelling from Earth to the troubled Jovian colonies are kept
in cryostasis; never meeting while a minimal crew supervises the
four-month flight. Unfortunately, things seem to have gone disastrously
wrong aboard the P.T.S. Caledonia and the passengers have woken up en
route to discover a dead crew, a disabled ship and companions who may not
be what they claim. As the tensions mount, can they manage to trust each
other long enough to find out what happened and survive?

Evil? Um... if you say so. :)

Honestly, it's just the most recent picture of myself I could find when I started the journal. I probably should update it, but I'm lazy, vaguely intimidated by computers, and intensely camera-shy....

evil only in the playful, doubletake sort of way.

Ah. In that case, thank you! :)

who is running long ago and far away?

Looking up the names, the GM's would be Stephen Balzac and Aimee Yermish.

You might want to post this to the Arisia journal, too!
