Obligatory Weather Post

My mood isn't usually too badly susceptible to the outside environment. True, sunshine does make me happy, but the reverse isn't true most of the time.

However, after eight straight days of chilly grey rain in the middle of May, I'm finding it hard to put on a happy face. My lilacs have turned soggy and brown, my knee feels like it has swelled back up to twice its normal size, my car is clammy, and the world has gone from the fresh,g reen, just-after-a-spring-rain smell to a rather depressing muddy mildewy smell.

At least our basement is safe. I think. At least this hit before I started putting flowers out on the porch. At least the weather channel says we should get about a day and a half of sun starting tomorrow, before the next five-day stretch of all rain all the time.

But right now, I just want to cry from sheer rainy frustration.

Aw. You've got our weather. I'd be just as glad to get it back - spring rain is what my garden needs right now, not this bizarre 90-plus degrees spell we're having right now which has me hiding indoors to escape the premature heat.

Hug and sympathies. I'm just taking a little consolation from the fact that I can actually hear birds outside at the moment...

I'm sorry to hear that the weather is so depressing up there. It's stormy down here, with constant rain clouds passing through and threatening, but no actual rain.

It's the kind of weather that just makes me want to stay in bed and sleep all day. I don't know what I'll do to stay awake when I get home. =/

The sun came out this afternoon! There's hope!
