Downtime

Oh, boy - a free weekend! One where I don't have to travel, don't have to work, don't have family obligations or anything! Two whole days off.

All I have to do is get my car inspected, get to the hospital for x-rays, help a friend pack, go to a Halloween party in another state, call the mortgage broker, visit the house we're thinking of buying and start measuring rooms, buy new sneakers, go to a concom meeting, email all of the Intercon GM's with their tentative game schedule, go to a birthday party, spend 20 minutes a day in cervical traction, work out reconstructions for two 16th-century Italian dances, and figure out meals and grocery shopping for next week.

I wish I were back in vet school again. Things were so slow and easy and relaxing then. On the other hand, I absolutely can't complain about not having anything to do....

*grin* That's an awfully big weekend you've got there. Probably need a nice breakfast to build up strength for it. Wanna?

I love quiet weekends!

All I have to do is organize the Crown march for next weekend, do my resistance exercises for my broken shoulder, swap out some winter clothes from the attic, a mess of laundry, sort out some more of my mother's memorabilia (8th grade report card!), go to a waffle brunch, bake banana bread, clean the toaster oven, do some Library Thing data entry, go to the grocery store.... But given the weather I get to postpone the spring bulbs, the mulch, leaves, bird feeder, and probably the dry cleaning.

spend 20 minutes a day in cervical traction

Please tell me this has something to do with your neck.

Neck and left arm, yes.

Thanks. I confess this was not the first thing that ran through my mind when I read your post, but I did go off and google "cervical traction" at which point I learned about various neck pillows and associated devices.

We overlapped on "get car inspected" and "go for x-rays," but then started to deviate... :-) When/how did you hurt yourself? And where is this enticing house?
