I Love It When A Plan Comes Together

Problem: Emotionally crummy and exhausting day
Solution: Seek out mental comfort food

Problem: Feeling extraordinarily insecure in my physical appearance
Solution: Find a way to make instant superficial changes

Problem: Shower broken
Solution: Find another way to clean up and cool off

Problem: Too hot to cook
Solution: Don't cook

Problem: Feeling overwhelmed by the world
Solution: Spoil self rotten

Ultimate course of action:
Sneak out of work 10 minutes early to dodge traffic. Get home, soak in cool bath until world is no longer a terrible place. Give self a pedicure with four-part harmony and feeling, put in a new sparkly bellybutton ring, and dress up in cute shorts, crop top, and incredibly sexy honey-scented perfume. Curl up on sofa in front of fan with battered copy of 'Gone With The Wind' until husband gets home, then persuade him to take me out to dinner somewhere small and quiet.

It's almost scary how smoothly it all comes together.....
