Serious stuff. My ex and I were rescuing a HBC cat, he got a bite into my ex's hand before we got the towel over him. Near a knuckle. That was Sunday. Lucky thing he happened to have a doc appt. the next morning. He didn't think it was at all serious, but the doc sent him to a hand specialist straightaway, do not pass go, do not collect $200. He started antibiotics within an hour or two of that? 2 days later he was in surgery, they cleaned it to the bone. He was on IV antibiotics for weeks, IIRC. He regained most of the flexibility in the hand by sheer determination, even the specialist (one of the very best, we heard) was surprised at his recover. Some permanent damage, but minimal.
It doesn't take much. I'm glad you got treated immediately. Please keep us posted, we do care.
