Also.....
I know I've been grumbling here a lot about how I've been overscheduled, overcommitted, underslept, stressed, and exhausted lately, with all of the projects I've been working on. And I wanted to state, for the record -
I still had a blast. And I'd do it all again, in a heartbeat.
Admittedly, if I had my druthers, I'd do it again at a time when I wasn't also dealing with a car accident, tax woes, and another major life crisis, but none of that was the fault of any of the people involved in the fun stuff. The Babydolls shows were a blast, the LARP I helped run was amazingly fun as always, and in all they were worth every minute of work and prep that went into them.
And on a similar note -
I am incredibly grateful for my friends. Everyone who wasn't involved in the projects in question, whose patience and compassion and general ability to be there when I needed a hand, or a shoulder to lean on, or who put up with my at-best-sporadic presence during all of this.
I am also incredibly grateful for having the world's best husband. I can't describe how amazingly supportive he has been - from pitching in as a stage hand to taking over making dinner and running the house for the past two weeks to just being wherever I needed him a minute before I knew I did, with a mug of tea or a hug or the right words to make everything better.
Most of all, I am grateful beyond measure for having the kind of friends who ask me to be part of crazy things like this. Dancing, performing, writing, you name it - without them, my life would be boring and flat and uneventful as a flyover state. And given a choice between that and the hectic chaos that I have right now.... that's really no choice at all.

But, as you say, it was definitely worth it. The friends we make - who ask us to do these things in the first place - are people I can foresee having in my life for many years to come.
I keep meeting people who either know you personally or through your work. Maybe we'll cross paths again soon.
