Better News

Thank you all so much for being so supportive about my grumpy-making weekend.

The good news is that we (and by 'we' I mean 'my brave and stern husband') called the campsite/rafting company today and they immediately apologized and offered us a rain check for the trip we missed. It also turns out that they *do* have a staff member who usually stays onsite for just such situations, but who was out for unavoidable reasons last weekend.

So, while the trip itself was less than perfect, it looks like we'll be able to make up for it, and I won't let my fun be ruined by a handful of immature jerks. Between that and a delightful day with a friend today, the world is a much nicer place, all of a sudden....

I was sure this would be the outcome. Given your glowing description of the company's behavior on previous occasions, this mess was virtually guaranteed to be an aberration, and they've proven me right.
