Pulling The Blanket Up Over My Head
I have been trying all day to be cheerful and pleasant and maintain a positive outlook, and to be productive and hardworking and get stuff done.
I give up.
I am, as of now, curling up on the sofa in a little ball and pulling an afghan over myself. I am ditching my cooking plans for the night and ordering out instead. I am not going to do laundry, or clean the living room, or work out, or compose business letters, or anything. For once, I am going to slack the hell off. I'm not doing anyone else's work. And my work can all wait for a day.
I am going to lie here, and read stupid stuff on the internet, and maybe watch cheesy dance television, and play Nethack, and generally be a waste of carbon until I am tired enough to fall asleep without having nightmares.
Tomorrow I'll be good again. Tonight.... no.

Mine involved getting bitten by a pregnant chihuahua, at the end of a workday that involved 4 doctors and 2 techs, and one of the receptionists deciding to just go home an hour into her shift. I need the schadenfreude of watching Pamela Anderson dance the mambo if I'm going to make it through the rest of the week. :)
Any good stories about your day, at least?

My day mainly involves the dawning horror of the fact that my e-mail has been flaky for the past three weeks, and therefore one college transfer application, one possible summer school registration, and my taxes are ALL now completely hosed. (And here I was just figuring everybody including my accountant was really bad at replying to queries. Wrong.)
At least I can get an extension on the taxes. The transfer app is probably toast. *sigh*
But I didn't get bitten today. Also didn't need to send "a sample" to the county for rabies testing (I hate hate hate that one). These are both good things.

(And give a holler when you've got time for hanging out; the weather looks to be improving on a nearly day-to-day basis.)

I'm in your neighborhood at around 10 AM for an appointment, which I figure will let out sometime between 10:30 and 11. I could give a call when my appointment lets out (or just drop by, if that's more convenient...)
