Decisions, Decisions....

Wow. A whole free afternoon, for both me and my husband, with absolutely no commitments, and a movie theater gift certificate that needs to be used before the end of the year.

So, the only question is...

Do we act like mature, dramatic grownups and go see 'Hereafter'....
Or like overgrown children and see 'Megamind?'

Adults, or children? Drama, or evil supergenius aliens?

Hm. Put it that way, and there's really no question.

Evil super-genius aliens of course... :)

Megamind sounds tempting.

Last week I saw RED. It's a fun action flick, lots of explosions, minimal blood, and a little romance.

And that's precisely why I want to see that! Besides... the cast is sheerly amazing. I remember Morgan Freeman as Easy Reader, so anything he's in is like macaroni and cheese for my soul, and Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich all have wickedly wonderful senses of humor, too. I definitely want to see RED.

It was also great to see RED pass the Bechdel Test in the trailer. And I can testify that having seen the trailer does not mean you've seen all the good parts.

You know, I was pondering evil supergeniuses when I started reading that and when I saw the possibility of "Hereafter" I was a bit stunned.

But I do love a story with a happy ending.

Megamind is out already? *bounces* I eagerly await your review!

It's a blast. :) It owes a strong debt to both 'Unbreakable' and 'Soon I Will Be Invincible,' but it has enough of its own story to still be fun, and it's got a little more complexity than I had originally anticipated.

It's not deathless art - but it's a heck of a fun way to kill a few hours.

Pfft. Megamind. No question.

oooh! Megamind - and if you go, please let me know if its any good.

Yeah, when you phrase that question that way...you only have one real choice! :-)
