Frigid

There was no heat at work today.

The downside of this is that it is blessedly hard to write up charts when my hands are shaking from the cold and I can't quite feel my fingers.

The upside, though, is that at least I work with animals, so during appointments I could bury my hands against my patients and cozy up as close to them as physically possible. I may have lingered in one or two visits a wee bit longer than was technically necessary....

I am home now, and wrapped in a pile of blankets and cats, waiting to thaw out enough to throw in a workout DVD and start moving. Between that, tea, and soup-and-grilled-cheese for supper I have strong hopes that I may, someday, start to feel warm again.....

At work last summer, I used to have the exact opposite problem: the air conditioning would go out, and we'd swelter in 90+ degree windowless indoors nightmares.

Seeing as how I suspect you are at least as sensitive to cold as I am to heat, I totally feel for you.
