Random Observations From the Evening

1) No matter how old I get, there will always be something exciting about the idea of back-to-school supplies.

2) It is a crime against nature and humanity that I cannot write my medical record entries with glitter metallic gel pens.

3) So far I continue to fail in my attempts to start a singalong while waiting in line at the checkout, regardless of store. Clearly, I need to try harder.

4) I would pay a goodly amount of cash money to hear Willow and Jaden Smith record a cover of 'Parents Just Don't Understand.'

It truly is. Those things are awesome.

Do you shop at Trader Joe's? [livejournal.com profile] teddywolf did get a singalong going there with the cashier at least once.

It's easy to do at Five Guys Burger. In fact, the hard part is getting them to NOT sing along.

DON'T stop beLIEVin'

hold on to that FEE-EE-EE-liiiing

1) I love shopping for school supplies, and will look for excuses to go shopping for them.

4) So would I. That would be all kinds of hilarious.

The next deposition or court appearance I'm at, I'm going to take notes with a glitter metallic gel pen (or more than one -- I do tend to color code). Just for you. :)

Why can't you use gel pens?

Metallic purple in official medical documents that can appear in court as evidence would not be considered professional.

I can use gel pens. But I can't use glittery teal gel pens, because the law requires that medical records be written in black or blue ink.

Technically the law only applies to human medical records, but it's a point that can lead to problems if there are other reasons the records need to be investigated. Also, it looks highly unprofessional.

Teal is blue, at least to me.

Makes sense.

All of the above. I work in retail and have been known to walk around singing.

2. I've been writing mine with pink ballpoint recently... it helps that I'm not working for an agency. It will help less if these ever end up in court.

3. Flash mob... Get some co-conspirators!

If life were fair, you'd be able to start a full sing along with chorus and orchestra accompaniment.

(But that would probably mean that a strange dancing demon has invaded and started causing people to combust. Never mind.)
