Right before I tied the eternal knot of bonded love with the Beloved Object, I dreamed I was getting married in a beautiful ceremony only to discover, when I got to the altar, that it was my ex-husband to whom I had just said "I do" I woke up screaming, "Wait! Wait! I didn't mean that!!"
On the actual day of our real wedding, the lady asked the Beloved Object "Do you take this woman to be your wife?" and he said, "Yes." There was some silence, then she turned to be and said "Do you take this man to be your husband?" and I thought if I say 'I do' he'll realize he said the wrong thing and it will ruin the mood, so I said "Yes."
It was only later, when someone pointed out that neither of us had said "I do" that he realized it. "I was so nervous," he told me, "I was just concentrating on letting her know that I really wanted to marry you."
