My theme for the day

I will not let petty, greedy, tight-fisted twinks ruin my perfectly good day. To do so would be to let them win.

I will not let their small-minded selfishness triumph over the positiveness of a day with nice, simple surgeries, cheerful clients, and friendly orange cats.

I will take comfort in the knowledge that I can move on from our encounter and enjoy myself, while they will most likely spend the rest of the day sulking and nursing their frustration.

I will silently gloat over the fact that I have tickets to see Elton John and Billy Joel in concert and they probably don't.

I will take advantage of the fact that, since they obviously don't view me as an authority figure worthy of respect, I can cross my eyes and stick my tongue out at them with impunity.

I will also ponder the fact that, even though I'm barely scraping poverty level once I subtract my loans from my income, I'm probably getting a lot more joy from my meager amounts of money than they are from their vast wealth. Money that sits around not being used for something useful or fun is no different from no money at all.
