Standard deviation...
A commercial on the radio yesterday said that most women consider khakis to be an essential part of their wardrobe. If this is in fact true, I think it is one of the worst tragedies of our culture. Have we absolutely no taste, no sense of color?
Even the word itself is unpleasant. Khaki. Rhymes with tacky. It sounds like something sticky and undesireable - 'Ewww, my pants are all khaki!' I can't think of anything naturally occuring that is both khaki and pleasant. It's the color of dried out library paste.
I know they're neutral, but part of me must believe that there's another color out there that can manage to be neutral without progressing over the border into yucky. Navy blue, maybe. Even a darker brown.
Or maybe I just shouldn't ponder issues like this before sunrise.
