I want to go to the zoo. Right now, no planning, no scheduling and figuring and working out details in advance and trying to make it fit in between work and projects and events and other people not being available. I want to call my husband at work and have him come home, and maybe round up a few other people, and just go to the zoo.
I want to see how close I can get to the kangaroos as they wander around their roped-off enclosures, and I want to bounce up and down and make faces with the monkeys. I want to watch the tigers play smacky-face with each other, and see if the gorillas will come close to the window again so I can see how much bigger their hands are than mine. I want to go into the bird enclosure and stand incredibly still until I can find all the birds hiding in the trees. I want to go into the children's area and pet the goats and feed them pellets. I want to see a capybara.
Sometimes being a grownup is no fun.
