Happy Anniversary To Us
Oct. 17th, 2005 05:37 pmI've had all sorts of thoughts about what I was going to write today. I've played through half a dozen entries in my mind - cute versions, melodramatic versions, letter-to-my-darling-husband versions.
Everything boils down to one simple point, though. One year ago today I married the man I love more than anyone and anything else in the world. It was the best and most important decision I ever made, and even though the rest of the world outside our little newlywed bubble has been up and down, I've still never been happier. For years I haven't been able to imagine my life without him; I didn't quite know if or how marriage would change that. It did, and I still can't quite define how, but it just gets stronger and better every day.
One year later. I still love you, sweetie, and I'm looking forward to at least a hundred more.
