Poor, Poor Pitiful Me
Mar. 31st, 2006 11:58 amAlas and alack.
Woe is, in fact, me.
My life is so incredibly difficult. The clinic I was scheduled to work at today and Monday just called last night - they've had some kind of scheduling snafu, and cancelled me for both days, leaving me with a four-day weekend.
Of course, since they're cancelling significantly less than thirty days in advance, this means I still get paid half my standard rate in order to spend two work days not working.
And to make matters worse, it's 70 and sunny outside. And I had no plans at all, since I had expected to spend both days at work.
So, essentially, I'm getting paid moderate amounts of money to flop out on the lawn in the sunshine, read a good book, and catch up on much-needed downtime.
What did I ever do to deserve this? I feel the need to go assuage my misery with a walk around the block, and a stop to play with my neighbor's puppy.
