The Joy of Pets
Oct. 19th, 2006 01:45 pmLast night, for the first time in what feels like weeks, I was not yanked awake in the wee hours of the morning with gut-wrenching terror about some random work-related situation that, in spite of being utterly irrational and not a problem at all in the warm and welcoming light of day, feels like an end-of-the-world disaster in the cold, sleepy dark.
However, the delight of this realization was somewhat lessened by the fact that it came when my cats yanked me awake in the wee hours of the morning with gut-wrenching yowls and screams that always seem to come when they decide to bite each others' heads off for no apparent reason other than 'it was there.'
So, so sleepy.....
