As far as I can tell from personal experience, the Platonic ideal of 'silver lining' is

Getting out of work an hour early only to get stuck in the worst traffic you've ever experienced, aside from that one time they *closed all of Pennsylvania* while you were driving to a LARP, leaving you stuck on the back roads of Allentown for four hours in a compact car with two large men and a severe headache....

...on one of the first truly nice, short-sleeves, roll-the-windows-down driving days of the year
...and finding on the passenger seat a mix-tape that a friend made for you at least a decade ago, that had been missing for most of that time and that you just found last week while cleaning out the attic, and thought you had forgotten to bring out to the car.

Yes, taking over an hour to drive 12 miles is never anyone's idea of a first choice for how to spend an afternoon, but at least it wasn't nearly as unpleasant as I had feared at first. And I had forgotten how much I liked that tape....
