In Need Of Cheering Up
Mar. 28th, 2007 05:24 pmAfter making it through the entire winter without so much as a sneeze, I have finally succombed to the Creeping Cold of Doom, as of 3:00am Tuesday.
I love being sick. All that time that I usually waste on sleeping is now free for me to.... well, to hack and sneeze and alternately throw off the blankets and climb back under them. The extreme lethargy means I no longer need to worry about entertaining myself, and the buttermilk-white tone my skin takes on makes all my freckles and scars stand out like a photonegative of stars in the night sky, perfectly complementing the purple smudges under my eyes.
And it seems that every time I take a peek at livejournal, someone else has died or gotten sick or had a major life catastrophe. It's reaching a point where I'm almost afraid to read - maybe if I don't look, there won't be bad news.
So, please, if you're reading this and you're able, tell me about something good that has happened to you or around you recently. Because I could really, really use a dose of positivity right about now....
