Not Quite Dead Yet
Dec. 2nd, 2007 02:45 pmI guess the good news is that my knee isn't bothering me too much right now.
Admittedly, that's most likely because I've been off my feet for the past two days, laid up with one hell of a case of bronchitis. I've been running a fever since Thursday, though it finally broke this morning, coughing until I black out, and getting winded walking from the sofa to the kitchen. Not quite my idea of fun.
On the other other hand, I suppose I should be grateful that at least it hit at a time when, other than Friday, I could take a couple of days to nest on the sofa and devote myself to Being Sick. I am also quite grateful for my angel of a husband who has been taking amazingly good care of me, the friend who took over teaching dance for me at yesterday's SCA event, and another friend who immediately stepped up to help with prep for next weekend's gathering.
Gratitude only goes so far, though, and while I do have blessings to count, I'm also just a wee bit fed up with being incapacitated, in whole or in part. I have a housewarming to plan, holiday cookies to bake, a job to do, a LARP to write (dear gods, we're nowhere near as close to done as I want to be), a yoga class that I *really* want to get back to, and at least a dozen other projects that I have neither the mental or the physical stamina for at this point.
If any of y'all have some spare luck, or cope, would you mind sending it this way?
