Noone is dead, nothing is catastrophically wrong, and the world hasn't ended, but....
I got my car stuck in a snow drift. I had a lousy appointment with a physical therapist who told me, in essence, that my knee problems stem from the fact that I am weak and flabby with poor posture. I went shopping for a holiday gift for my husband and failed to find it in three different places, while getting repeatedly pummeled by holiday traffic, nearly killed by insane drivers, and boxed in by stupid people who refuse to acknowledge reality in parking lot traffic patterns. So instead of finding the gift I really wanted, I wound up spending too much money on other not-nearly-as-good presents.
And then I came home in freezing rain. And then I knocked an entire glass of soda over onto my newest cross-stitch project, utterly destroying it.
I have run out of holiday cheer. I have run out of goodwill. I want to unplug the tree lights, stuff all the presents under my bed, and curl up and fall asleep until next year.
But I can't. There are cookies that need to be delivered, and plans that need to be made, and packages that need to be wrapped. And new linen to be ordered if I want to have the sanity of needlework. And... a thousand other things.
My petty little first world problems. *sigh*
