First Things First
Sep. 3rd, 2008 03:36 pmOK. As much as I'd like to start working on analyzing and fixing the inside of my head, apparently the universe has different priorities.
About 15 minutes into my shift at work today, I managed to get myself bitten by a cat. Not a particularly large or vicious cat; those I know how to avoid. Just a slightly impertinent, small, cute cat. But she snagged me with a pair of puncture wounds, right on either side of my right wrist.
They're teeny, and not too deep, but by the time I made it out of clinics and into the Urgent Care office, they were starting to swell up and turn red, and stabby pain had started to spread up and down my arm. I'm now on horse-choking doses of antibiotics, and under doctor's orders to keep my right arm splinted and elevated as much as possible.
Which means, among other things, that typing is a royal pain in the butt. So no long introspective meandering posts from me for the next several days. Also, minimal email, and slow IM'ing. Plus no stitching or crocheting.
Looks like I'm going to get a lot of reading done....
