Blissful Sunday
Nov. 2nd, 2008 09:10 amI have absolutely nothing to do today.
Okay, that's not entirely true. I have plans to go out dancing with friends tonight (ballroom this time, which I haven't done in way the heck too long). But until then, zip. Zero. Zilch.
This, right now, is the best feeling in the world.
I have no rehearsals. No performances. No GM meetings. No eleven-hour work shifts. No eating dinner in the car while driving from one commitment to another. Noone that needs me to drive them to an event. Absolutely nothing. I even have an extra hour to do nothing.
I can lie around in my pajamas until noon. I can take a bubble bath. I can catch up on backlogged episodes of Supernatural and True Blood while I work on embroidery and crochet projects. I can take my surprise bonus from the Babydolls shows and go shopping for new books and pretty dresses. I can do whatever the heck I want.
And right now, I've got a batch of jam-filled muffins in the oven, Hairspray on television, and the world is a sunshiney, good place. Life is better than it's been in a long time. I've had a lot of fun with performing and GM'ing, but I've kind of forgotten in the process that I need to eat and sleep and breathe during everything else.....
(By the way - will the anonymous Gift Gnome who left a jar of homemade Spiced Caramel Pear jam on our porch please own up? I'd love to know who to say thank you to....)
