Why is it that every time I find a favorite character in a series of novels, the author(s) decide to single that character out for fourteen volumes of misery and torment? (or, to phrase this a different way, Dear George R.R. Martin, it's been over 20 years. Stop picking on Captain Trips and find a new whipping boy!)
How exactly does one Wang Chung? Is it one verb, like 'tap dance,' or is it a verb-noun combination, like 'eat noodles?' And if it's the latter, can other things be wanged? And can you do other things with or to your chung?

Now that vampires and wizards are so five minutes ago, were-critters are hot now/about to peak, and zombies are rapidly getting played out, where is the trend of urban fantasy going to turn next for its sexy monster trend? I'd like to put in a vote for golems/Frankensteinian monstrosity, but somehow I don't see it happening....
