Some days, I'll be honest, being a relief veterinarian is frustrating. You wind up overbooked and understaffed. You deal with angry clients who insist that you're not as good as they Usual Doctor, and that you don't know what you're talking about. People ask you if you're a *real* doctor. The clinic will inevitably be out of whatever medication you most want to use that day, or they won't stock it at all. You won't have a password for the computer system, or the practice owner's handwriting in the charts will be completely illegible, or they will have taken the chart for some critical hospitalized case home, so you can't read it or make notes.
Some days, though, you wind up coming in to an office to work on 'Free Lunch And Massages Day.'
Things could be much, much worse today....
