Not Quite Feasible
May. 20th, 2014 10:57 pmAs part of my work, I have a radiation monitoring badge. I wear it when I take x-rays, and every quarter I mail the badge, along with a control in to a monitoring company that sends me a new badge and control and measures how much radiation I've absorbed. Which is precious little, since mostly the techs take x-rays, but that's not the point.
The point is that, when I sent my badges back in February, they apparently got lost in the mail. And so the company charged me a fee for not returning the badges. Which I had to pay, because I didn't think ahead and get a receipt from the post office when I mailed them. Such is life.
But apparently the badges showed up at long last, since I got my dosimetry report from the winter quarter, along with a credit from the company for the fee I paid. And I figured that'd be the end of it. Until today.
Apparently crediting my account wasn't enough. I just got a bill in the mail from the company, for -$10. Complete with a request that I remit payment to them immediately.
My inner trickster god kind of want to actually do something with this....
