One of the things I like about rural living is the quiet. Now I'm not quite as rural as you - I can watch the traffic go by from my window - but it is far enough away that I only hear the sirens. I like seeing the stars at night and being overwhelmed by them. I like the deer, woodchucks, turkeys and even the coyotes in my back yard. Sure I could go back to city living but I would miss it here very much.
