ladyspriteIt's been almost 15 years since I've had stomach flu. Gods willing, it'll be another fifteen before it happens again. I had forgotten how absolutely miserable this feels.
Two hours in the ER, 2 liters of IV fluids, and a hearty dose of demerol and anti-nausea meds have gotten me to the point where I can keep down small sips of weak tea, as long as I drink it very slowly, which isa hearty improvement from where I was at 2am. On the other hand, my personal susceptibility to narcotics has left me semi-conscious all day, and is making typing a colorful challenge.
Gah. I joke about wanting tol ose 5 pounds, but this is so not the way I wanted to do it.
Please, please, please let this be a 24-hour bug - I have to work tomorrow. In the meantime, at least the drugs are making daytime tv much more interesting.....
