Hear, hear. I too have been in that situation trying to balance being PA and RA for a theatre production in Davis Square while commuting from Salem. It wasn't the easiest and carefully balancing my responsibilities at home and work with the play made for some really challenging days.
But, as you say, it was definitely worth it. The friends we make - who ask us to do these things in the first place - are people I can foresee having in my life for many years to come.
I keep meeting people who either know you personally or through your work. Maybe we'll cross paths again soon.
