For me, one is comfort reading. Some books will do it every time, and I'm sure they aren't the same ones as for you but I'm just as sure that you have some.
Another is music - Arrogant Worms are pretty good for that for me (loud, funny, raucous singalongs. I know you're not into singing, but if you like loud and funny they're still good for knocking you out of a funk.) Johnathan Coulton is also pretty good for much of the same reasons - I was singing along to Last Sascatchewan Pirate last night, and Re: Your Brains (aka middle management zombies song) tonight. Again, your particular type may vary but I bet there's something.
