Oh ow. I'm glad that they were able to stop the bleeding and make you properly piratical. I hope you are able to exploit it for a Halloween costume.
Having had a major forehead wound myself (slammed head first into a fireplace screen at high velocity) hopefully it will not scar very much, as mine did not.
