I've never crushed on celebrity figures. And, I've never understood doing so.
That you would have crushed (and still do) on characters in books... that entirely doesn't surprise me.
I have no idea who I first crushed on, but it would have been someone I knew. Might have been another fan, might have been a class mate, might have been someone in the neighbourhood. It was someone real. But, it was too long ago to recall which was first.
