Oh, I know you can make good stuff with prune mush - I have a recipe for a sauce of dried fruits and wines that gets a lot of its body from prunes. Used as themselves, they're fine.

I just object to the insistence that you can take a standard recipe for baked goods, like chocolate chip cookies, substitute prune mush for all of the fat, and not change the taste or texture at all.
