The behavior of the second, and the threats about the third, are classic gangster behavior. Whatever the local fay-equivalent of law enforcement is has probably been trying for some time to get some dirt on these guys. See if you can get them to set up a sting operation. Or if the 'cops' won't help, maybe you can find a magic-savvy P.I.?
Either way, you'll probably end up being used as, you should pardon the expression, a stalking-goat, but it's probably still your best chance.
