My almost-two-years-old next-door neighbor just ran up to me as I was getting home from work and very solemnly and earnestly presented me with a small dead stick.

I feel as though, if I only understood the meaning behind this, or my kittens' overwhelming need to constantly stuff small items into my shoes, I would unlock a Great Mystery of the Universe....
