Burn Notice is crazy-awesome. Vampire Diaries is also quite a lot of fun, especially in the early seasons. I'm inordinately fond of the old seventies show Emergency which is mostly on instant. Eureka is also worth checking out-- it's about the (very normal) sheriff in a town run on Mad Science!

Also new series Sleepy Hollow which is thus-far on Hulu and the Fox website is pure concentrated awesome delight.
